Let Your Voice Be Heard!!!

SCESA is joining the voices calling for more People of Color to register to vote and participate in the electoral process.

We must make our voices be heard louder than ever, both on the local and national level. Regardless of how you feel about government, we need to take a stand and VOTE! So, Sisters, if you are not registered to vote - get to going and do so! In fact, ask your Sistah friends if they are registered and encourage those that are not to come with you! If you are a registered voter, let your voice be heard and VOTE!!!!!

Not only should we pay attention to the Presidential race but also who is running for Board of Education, City Council, Judge, Mayor or Governor in our state and local communities. Local politics not only impacts on what goes on locally but also nationally.

Also, let's do our part to ensure that our communities have a voice in the electoral process by volunteering to help with voter registration and mobilization. It is crucial to find out State guidelines for voters who do not speak English or need other accommodations.
